Demonstrations in the Gallery

What a lovely day it is every time I demonstrate felting in the Makers Workshop Gallery space and today is no exception. We had a wonderful group in from the cruise ship Pacific Eden and everyone had a great time. It is always fun to talk to tourists and locals travelling through our area who are interested in felting, fibre and textiles in general.

After a rough time yesterday when the ship could not dock due to really bad weather, she made it into port early today with out any issues with the sun shining and a cool crisp breeze drifting around. Many went on day tours all over the coastal regions and many visiting us hereto see some of the very best makers and creatives in Tasmania.

I was demonstrating making felt bags and purses with my hand dyed Australian  merino wool and mulberry silk fibres. Great day all around with lots of laughs and fun with a large group of wonderful people.

Being next to the amazingly talented Annie Desantis with her fabulous jewellery always helps. Thank you Annie for a fun filled day.
