Granny Stacks Hand Spun Chunky Art Yarn

Hand spun using our natural creamy Tasmanian Merino wool tops into a think length then the granny stacks are created as it plied with a strong cotton thread.

This yarn is hand spun with lots of love and texture and is beautifully soft and will knit it into a Scarf or neck wrap with some other yarns to really get the best out of it. Once knitted the granny stacks pop up on the surface or just push them through to the front if they knit into the back.

Suitable for careful weaving, this would really make a wall hanging pop!

These beautiful yarns take a Lot of time to create. First with the dyeing, then the spinning and then the plying stage which involves stopping and locking every single 'stack' in place before and after each one!

Recommended Needle Size

This one is not a really thick yarn and should be ok on araound a size 4-5 needle.

 Gauge swatch is suggested. I usually start with needles around the same diameter as the yarn and work from there.

Care Instructions

Hand wash as a delicate item in cool water with an approved wool wash. Roll in a towel and very gently spin. Dry flat.
