Mulberry Silk Paj or Pongee fabric hand dyed in sea grass

This is the supreme silk fabric for Nuno felting. That's why it's my 'go to silk' for most of my felting for softness, shine, drape and touch. This is a beautiful smooth silk fabric and is light and airy, a delight to felt with and so very soft on the skin.

These smaller pieces have raw edges and have been TORN to size. I work with these torn edges and usually felt over them. I will often fold the raw edge over a few centimetres and then felt along the raw edge and this will create a nice neat folded ruffled edge. These smaller shapes can be cut and used for detail and decoration on the fronts of bags and also for added texture to Nuno scarves etc.

Combine them with some next to skin soft Merino wool tops and and maybe some Mulberry silk roving and you are good to start felting a beautiful warm work of art to wear!
