Nuno Felted Merino Wool and Silk Art Scarf - Leaf 13106

Just imagine the softest hand made Margilan silk fabric and superfine Australian merino wool combined, luxury fibres hand dyed and wet felted together in this simple but elegant nuno felted scarf.

This one has a lovely leaf pattern meandering down the centre of the scarf with highlights of mulberry silk fibre. The colours are little darker than they show in the images.

When I made these Nuno felt art scarves, I first nuno felted it and then hand dyed the scarf after it was completed.

Margilan silk is hand made and comes from Uzbekistan, It is a delicate fibre and will need gentle handling. If you like you scarves sturdy this one might not take your everyday hard wear and tear like my other nuno scarves will

Styling Recommendations

I usually wrap these light weight scarves around my neck twice, I am about a size 10/12. Then I will either gently tie the ends into a knot or pin a brooch to hold it in place. 

Sometimes I will wrap my scarf over both shoulders so the fringe is hanging down at the back. This way it keeps you warm but doesn't hang in the way of anything.

Care Instructions

Gently hand wash in an approved wool and silk wash. roll in a towel and gently spin the water out. Carefully press the scarf on the back with a cool iron and hang to finish drying.
