Speckled Tea Rose Hand Dyed 4 ply Supreme Sock Yarn

Speckled Tea Rose is a soft apricot pink semi solid colourway with some variation and speckles scattered along the hank. A lovely delicate shade to use for a lacy delicate scarf or sock pattern. 

There are 2 hanks left over from a custom dye batch, one is lighter than the other. These will not be repeated.

This yarn is so versatile and hard wearing and can be used for any next to skin project like scarves, jumpers, beanies, children's wear etc. as well as items where a little more durability is required such as socks and gloves. 

Yarn Base Details

• 85% Super-wash Australian Merino 19.5 micron + 15% Nylon Yarn
• Approx. 400 m per 100 g hank/skein
• Hand dyed with Australian made dyes
• Super-wash Merino

The fine Australian merino wool makes this yarn luxuriously soft and bouncy for next to skin comfort. A little nylon is added for extra durability.

The main factor determining the quality of Australian merino wool is its softness which depends upon the fineness of the fibres. The use of fine merino (19.5 microns) which is some of the finest commercially available results in a super soft yarn that feels gentle against the skin. 

 

Recommended Needle Size

Needle Size: 2.5 - 4mm needle
Gauge (stocking stitch):
28sts x 36 rows over 10cm/4 inches on 3.25mm (US 3) needles

Care Instructions

All of my yarns are hand dyed by me using Australian made dyes.  

Please hand wash separately.
