Tasmanian English Leicester lamb locks unwashed raw fleece.
English Leicester fleece is a rare breed and highly prized. On the animal, the fleece grows dense and free. The lock is a medium width showing a well defined wave or crimp from the skin to the tip. The staple lengths will vary as these locks are from lambs at their first shearing. The fibre range is generally 32-38 microns. This sounds like a strong wool, and it is! but the lambs locks are just beautiful and much softer, I love to use them in my art yarns for texture and colour.
