Blue and Green Tasmanian Superfine Merino Carded Wool Batts

This beautiful hand dyed Tasmanian Merino wool batt is from some of the finest Merino wool growers in this country. Next to skin soft and squishy they will spin, felt, needle felt, nuno felt or weave into a beautiful project! 

 

Fibre Details

  • Approx 100 gram packs
  • 18.5 micron Superfine Tasmanian Merino
  • Hand dyed with Australian made dyes
  • Hand carded from Tasmanian Merino wool
  • Perfect for wet & dry felting, needle felting, spinning, art yarn, nuno felting, fibre arts.

These batts are variegated colours and have a lovely blended variation which you may not be able to pick up in the images. 
I run these wool tops  through my carder only once to help maintain the texture and to blend the variation in shades through out before I usually use in my art yarns. 
These are my 'go to' fibres for my felting.

 

Suitable for

I often grab a bag when I am felting because they are a dream to felt with.
Super easy to pull apart and layout. 
I love working with this fibre, and it will speed up your felting layout.
These are quite thick batts and I usually pull them into sections before I core spin or felt with them.

 

Caring for your fibres

My wool is dyed with commercial colour fast dyes but please be aware that colours may vary on computers.  As this is a hand dyed product I would recommend you hand wash you finished item separately first.

Fibre Care

Our hand dyed fibres have been washed to remove any excess dye, but some times a little residual dye may remain, particularly in dark and saturated colourways. 

As this is a hand dyed product I would recommend you gently hand wash your finished item separately first.
