Simple Triangle Neck Scarf or Shawl

To get started...
You will need some yarn, any type that works for you will work for this. This one is knitted using hand spun but I have also knitted it with 4 and 8 ply and other textures yarns as well.
One skein of your chosen yarn is usually enough for this.
Needles: Be creative here and go for some of those big ones you never use!
We are going for a loose drape with attitude.
Cast on 7 sts.
Row 1-K3, yo, k1, yo, k3.
Place a stitch marker each side of the centre stitch made from contrasting yarn to keep you on track.
Row 2-K3, p to last 3 sts, k3.
Row 3-K3, yo, k to centre st, yo, k1, yo, k to last 3 sts, yo, k3.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you have your desired size or until you get close to running out of yarn.
Garter Stitch Edging:
Row 1-K3, yo, k to centre st, yo, k1, yo, k to last 3 sts, yo, k3.
Row 2-K all sts
Repeat rows 1 and 2, 5 times.
Bind off all sts loosely and weave in ends.
Finishing: Rinse in cool water roll in towel and gently spin.
Lay out onto a dry towel and pin around edges, leave to dry.
